Conveniently located, few minutes walk from the main station and Matsumoto castle.

Un établissement très agréable, le personnel est habitué aux nombreux touristes et est capable de répondre à toutes vos questions et besoins. L'endroit est spacieux et classe dans un style traditionnel. Notre chambre était à l'ancienne avec les tatamis, les futons installés étaient confortables. Un service d'appel sur le téléphone vous permet de savoir quand votre repas est prêt pour un repas de type Kaiseki très copieux. Petit plus, les bains communs ont une jolie vue sur les montagnes.

Located in the historical Shibu Onsen district, 渋温泉小石屋旅館 offers both private and dormitory-style guest rooms as well as an on-site restaurant where local dishes, wines and craft beers are available. Great location at the heart of ryokan alley, very hospitable hosts that can shuttle you from the Yudanaka Station to their place free of charge (prior reservation needed), nice cozy restaurant with kotatsu (very relevant when it is cold), comfortable ryokan with lots of space and a gas heater. The host was shinning and always smiling, it gave us good mood for two days. Also she helped us out with the reservation for the onsen and gave us a ride to that place and brought us back in an hour. Shibu Onsen Koishiya Ryokan are the best and we will definitely stay here if we ever come back to Japan again. ps we also left some chocolate from our country and asked them to pin it on their big wall in their cafe. we hope you liked the chocolate!

Situé à 7 minutes à pied de la gare de Yudanaka, le Yorozuya propose des bains de source chaude, un bain à remous et des chambres de style japonais avec une terrasse privée et une salle de bains... Really nice and friendly staff. Nice and clean rooms. Generous breakfasts and dinners with daily changing menues - the wagyu meat was especially good! Private spa with finnish sauna, steam bath, onsen water, cold bath, outside area and even a massage seat and included drinks was bookable for a small fee. Free coffee and tea available in the lounge (tea also in the room). Convenient shuttle service to the train station.

Situé à seulement 5 minutes à pied du sanctuaire historique de Togakushi, l'Oshi Ryokan propose un hébergement traditionnel dans la paisible région montagneuse, où les pèlerins sont habitués. Tout était extraordinaire. Le couple de propriétaires est aux petits soins et la cuisine est délicieuse. Je n'y ai passé que deux nuits mais j'étais triste de devoir partir.

Situé à seulement 10 minutes de route du parc aux singes de Jigokudani, le Yudanaka Onsen Yamazakiya propose des hébergements de style japonais aménagés avec simplicité et dotés d'une connexion Wi-Fi... We stayed at many ryokans on our trip. None came close to Yamazakiya. The host family are friendly beyond belief, always smiling, always helpful. We got a free pick-up from the train, drop-off to the train and round trip to the snow monkey park. The place is cute, we had a huge room with fluffy, comfy tatami beds and a sitting area. Everyone got yukatas to wear around the house. It's a small place with two private onsens and we were easily able to book both for an hour for our group of four, giving us the chance to try two different rooms. We had messaged ahead to book dinner (good English spoken), a vegetarian option was no problem and my, what a treat we got. It must have been 10+ little courses, fine dining at its best. All around, highly, highly recommended! If you enter through the front door, don't forget to take a stroll out the back door - it leads straight onto the village's main street, filled with many cute, ancient houses.

A 3-minute walk from Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, Kadowakikan features ski-to-door access, a hot spring bath and free WiFi. clean, has everything that you need for ski, wonderful Onsen, the owner is very helpful, close to the entrance of the ski resort

Situé à 5 minutes à pied de la gare de Yudanaka, le Yudanaka Tawaraya Ryokan propose des hébergements de style japonais avec connexion Wi-Fi gratuite et télévision à écran plat, des bains thermaux... The service as this Ryokan was 10/10, and was the most authentic one we stayed in during our 4 weeks in Japan. The staff were so lovely, and spoke great English. They showed us to our room, and gave us essentially a "room tour" whilst we drank complimentary tea. They gave us a map with nearby restaurants and ammenties noted on it. The private outdoor onsen was SO nice! You book a slot upon arrival, which you can access in the evening with 30 min slots. The onsen was large and the perfect contrast with the fresh cool air in the evening. Yukatas were provided for us as an option to wear around the hotel - both my partner and I are bigger than the average Japanese person (Wife is plus size, I am 6ft 2) and we both comfortably fit into the ones picked out for us. The only thing that threw us was that during breakfast, they cleared the beds from our room - had we known people would go in, we'd probably have neatened the room a bit haha! P.S don't skip the sushi restaurant a few doors down from the hotel. The sushi was EXQUISITE and they even have a phonetic Japanese to English page at the front so you can have a go at ordering properly with the chef.
